Sneak Peek!

Here are a couple rooms I've painted.

Craft room is an olive green, will have black and white damask accents, with pops of pink. :-) I stenciled the door with a damask pattern...

Guest room, faux paneling took FOREVER, but it's done! It will be decorated with red toile accents, my favorite!

S'il vous plait - if anyone would know this you would. So I was minding my own business the other day, living la vie catholique,
when some dufus on Catholic radio starts talking about notre amie Bouguereau, but pronouncing his name in a very odd (to me) way.

HOW do you pronounce the "gue" part in the middle? Is the "g" hard or soft?

Merci.

Yes, I meant ami, not amie. I know his wife painted also, but the dufus was talking about William-Auguste.

The g is hard because it's followed by a u. Was he saying it with a soft g? That would be very strange indeed!

Anglicized a bit, I'd say it's roughly pronounced Boo-Gair-Oh. :-)

Aha! I love being right. Yes, he was saying bou jheh reau.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Stephanie,

The olive green is beautiful! Since green is my favourite colour, I especially appreciate it.
Nice blog.
